"Cont with Rib Patt" ... what's the Rib pattern? I only see chart for Lace Pattern.

Hi there! It looks like the rib pattern begins after the lace pattern ends, and it is as follows: "on 1st WS row start with chain selvage, K1, and end in reverse." Unfortunately we don't have a chart to demonstrate the ribbing, but I hope the written text helps!

This shawl is totally stunning. It looks a little tricky, but I'm sure I can figure it out. Casting on ASAP!

It's not obvious from the chart or pattern are wrong side rows (other than row 1 ws) knitted or purled?

when it says to cast on 3 sts then purl 1 st (WS)...Means after cast on of the 3 stitches you turn and purl thuse a marker to mis is your wrong side k this side to help you keep track of the WS. Hope this helps

You are correct, it's not obvious from this poorly written pattern but wrong side rows are purl.

Knitting patterns that are charted usually only show right side rows on the chart and the directions for wrong side rows are written in the patterns directions. This is the usual format for charted patterns and it is exactly what they did here.

I'm confused as well. Is the chart RS or WS? What happens on the other rows? Need the piece of the puzzle in order to continue.

I also find it confusing not knowing what the WS row is supposed to be. I'm an avid/experienced knitter and can't figure this one out! I don' t understand how I'm supposed to M1TBL and then knit 1 on the 3rd row... I end up having to M1 in the st i'm supposed to be knitting.... Help please!

Cast on 3 sts and P 1 WS row This is the only mention of wrong side rows and the chart only gives right side rows. I assume that all wrongs side rows are purled.
